- Current First Aid Certificate
- Relevant State Clearance for working with children (Working With Children Check / Police Check)
- Pass an interview with our Agency Consultants
- Pass verbal and written reference checks
CHARLTON BROWN will arrange personal interviews with potential nannies in your own home for families looking for a permanent nanny.
Interviewing candidates
We have put together some potential interview questions that you may find useful when screening potential nannies.
- What have you been doing lately?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- Why do you enjoy looking after children?
- What’s your training and detail what it entailed?
- Give an example of a tough situation and how you dealt with it?
- How do you communicate with the family regarding the care of the child/ren?
- Give an example of a routine you would do during the day?
- What sort of experience do you have working as a nanny?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- How do you deal with difficult behaviour/challenging situations?
- What would you do in the event of an accident/illness?
